POST EVENT SUMMARY
THE FREIGHT SUMMIT 2016
Once again, we successfully concluded the 9th The Freight Summit held last October 09 – 12, 2016 at The Stones – Legian Bali, Autograph Collection in Indonesia. The Freight Summit is the first and leading open global networking conference for forwarders that provides a neutral networking platform to interact with multiple alliances, networks, logistics media and solution providers and other independent international forwarders across the globe.

Upon the arrival of the delegates in the hotel, they went directly to the registration area and gathered to Junior Ballroom Hall for the assembly. Some of them just came from a long flight; hence, a perfect welcome cocktail reception was prepared in the evening to give them a quick time to relax and to meet their friends and acquaintances.

The event was started on the 2nd day of the conference with a ribbon cutting ceremony courtesy of Mr. Nils Walle, Mr. Christian Raeuber, TFS Participating Networks, Sponsors and VIP. Afterwards, Mr. Walle had an opening remark to welcome all the delegates and thank them for attending this year’s TFS. The speech was then followed with the much-awaited Face-to-Face Meetings at Grand Ballroom Hall. At noon, the delegates went to Ballroom Hall 1 for lunch then came back for the Face-to-Face Meetings in the afternoon.

On the 3rd day of TFS, the delegates were so excited for the Bali City Tour at Tanah Lot. It was a 1-hour drive from the hotel to Tanah Lot but their faces drawn enthusiasm as they saw the iconic cultural rock formation. After the tour, the delegates went back to the hotel for the sunset cocktail at Infamy where they had chill drinking and enjoy the rest of the day.

After months of preparation, TFS 2016 has finally come to an end but there were still scheduled meetings attended by some delegates. To sum up the 4-day conference, it was indeed another memorable year for TFS community. We were able to gather all the forwarders in one networking event and establish a lasting friendship amongst us that will further help our business.
